Mid-year reflection

Hello Dear,

I hope this post finds you well.

The third quarter is now upon us, and it’s time to reflect on the past months and evaluate what went right and what hasn’t gone so well. So let’s see how on track we are. Oh yeah, I’m doing this with you, my friend, no way am I giving advice and not following through it myself.

So, let’s look at the goals you and I made at the beginning of the year.

Do you still want to achieve them, or do you want to change them up a little?

Did you have a word that was going to follow you throughout this year? Mine was Authentic; what was yours? Is it still relevant, or would you like to change it?

How do you feel about the plans you made at the beginning of the year? How has your life evolved, have unexpected doors opened or sadly shut? Has trying to reach these goals made you feel bad about yourself, do you hear the voice inside of you telling you that you must have been crazy to think that you would ever reach that goal or finish the project.

Look at all of these changes as a blessing in disguise. Eye all these opportunities as something you could have never seen if that one door had been left open. Your mind would have never seen the beauty of this new and exciting path. Yes, it will be hard in the beginning, I’m not going to sugarcoat that. But once the tears have dried and the pain has gotten a little easier to bear, you will see the beauty of your new situation.

Ask yourself what is the universe trying to teach you? Do you need to slow down and take better care of yourself? Would finding ways to enjoy life more help you get out of the rut you may be in? What is holding you back? If you weren’t scared, what would you do instead?

Lots of things to think about, my friend.

So please take the time to write in your journal to review your thoughts and the changes you would like to make.

Please remember to not be hard on yourself if life has caught up with you or your schedule has been way crazier than you would have liked. It’s ok to be where you are now, doing what you are doing right now. (Hmm, yes, reminding myself while talking to you)

Breathe.

Feel the air fill up your lungs,

hold,

2,3,4,

breathe out slowly, forcing all of the air out.

Now, breathe in again and repeat.

How do you feel?

Write it out and watch how you feel better with every word that has left your mind and is down on paper.

With Love

Yours
